Okay hello everyone,

I have been frequenting this forum and this website for a long time now. I was wondering if there are anyone here on this website\forum that could recommend me to a good tailor in the Maryland, DC and Virginia area. It would be great if its also a not so popular spot. One of those hidden gems but I am due for a couple of suits.

Thanks much.

Not a hidden gem, but the best is Field's English Custom Tailors in Georgetown. He's expensive and takes a long time - because he's got a lot of business, is truly a tailor who does bespoke work, and does a superb job. I take all my high end suits there for alteration.

I've tried several others in the area for my less expensive suits, but I've not yet found one I'm really comfortable with - so I too would welcome suggestions other than Field's. Right now I'm using Matt's Tailor in Falls Church (Rt. 7); he's pretty good, responsive, affordable, and very nice. A couple others on the Forum use him too.
