Good evening/day SF, depending on where in the world you are at this moment. Let me begin by saying that I know very little of men's clothing in general. I'm currently doing what I can to learn as I think that it is about time that I do and will be grateful to have any obvious mistakes on my part corrected. I would also take this opportunity to excuse my less than perfect English as it is not my first language. That being said, I recently got my hands on a used, dark navy, Corneliani sportcoat. I myself am not able to see if this is an authentic piece or not due to my lack of experience in men's clothing, but the quality seems to be quite good from what little I know of sewing. I would be happy if someone who has experience with Corneliani or men's clothing in general could help me authenticate this piece and maybe provide me with some more information about it, such as age and if it is an orphan. Here are some pictures:

Thank you for any help you can provide.

+1 on real and orphaned. Depending on how much you paid for it (hopefully not much), I would try to convert to 3/2 roll and replace the buttons. Also, your thumb might need medical attention.

Real and orphaned, I guess I thought as much. Will be taking it to a tailor sometime next week. As for my thumb, I know it looks terrible

, it is the result of a bicycling accident a few years ago where I flayed the skin of almost my entire left hand. The rest of the hand is "fine", but my thumb never really recovered properly. Not too much to do about it I'm afraid as lotion barely helps.

Anyway, I'm grateful for the answers, thank you all!

Orphaned coat from a suit. Never a sports jacket in a month of Sundays. Leave well alone.
