Can you teach an old dog new tricks? And can it "really" be done well enough? It seem quite feasible if you had an original in hand.

I expect that a top tailor who is willing to can replicate the silhouette as much as you can define it. The handwork may be better or worse than the original. Why don't you ask Chris Despos? You seem to have experience with him.
