An old thread but I just saw the "Made in Italy" pants in Costco here in California. $39.99.

There are lots in Lawrence, NY for $39.99.

I multiple pairs in light gray, dark gray and navy. They also had black and beige.

The 34x29 fits me perfectly.

The light gray is a bit darker than it was last season. A big improvement IMHO.

Still FF, 100% wool and made in Italy.

FF = flat front?

So the pleated versions are discontinued?

I don't know if they are discontinued or not but the only ones at the store I was in were flat front.

^ Thanks

Judging by the comments in this thread, it sounds like there is really no consistency between batches. That said, I have always been pretty impressed by how they look and feel, even though I was always too leery to buy dress pants from Costco.

But since some picky SFers seem to be pleased with their purchases, I think I will give it a go and pick up a pair next time I'm there...just for the hell of it.

You can hardly go wrong at the price.
