    Follow-up question:

I went to the only Dutch store that sells Corthay to order a pair of Wilfrids. Sadly, they didn't have any pairs in my size to try on, so I didn't end up ordering any. They also informed me that Corthay was unwilling to accommodate requests for two different-sized shoes. Now, I find it difficult to believe that you couldn't get two different sizes from Corthay when ordering MTO, but before I plan a trip to Paris to visit Corthay I'm curious to know what your experiences are?

    Thanks!

I've never been to the Paris store but have ordered several MTO's through Leffot in New York City. I'm not too shocked that they won't do two separate sized shoes as MTO since that's more of a bespoke request. The main thing I like about Corthay is the quick turnaround. I've received all of my shoes in 4-6 weeks compared to my John Lobb Paris shoes which takes 4-6 months. Also Corthay will allow you to do almost any shoe in either 001 or 002 last with just about any color. John Lobb won't do that.

Interesting that AE does allow different size shoes in their MTO program.

As does Crockett & Jones. Personally, I don't consider two different sizes to be a bespoke request as you're just asking them to produce two shoes on standard lasts, only two different sized lasts. It's no extra work for them whatsoever. If that is not possible, I'm afraid no Corthay for me...

Wow, not bad for seven years old! Did you ever need to have it resoled?

Mine will likely be in the garbage in 7 years. Not holding up well at all at about 2.5 years.
