LabelKing, not at all...... ......it was at the initiative of Berluti to met a small group of readers (25) from the website www.souliers.net with an unformal cocktail and shining with Champagne Don Ruinart (who is owned, like Berluti, by the the LVMH french multinational). Swann manifestation is for bespoke customers of Berluti...one time by year...

Couldn't they lend those volunteers few aprons to avoid getting that shoe cream on their shirts/suits ?

Hello, good morning George,

thanks for posting.

It is amazing that all wear jackets while working on the shoes. I like it. Looks like fun!

I was a member of souliers.net, but after a while my password did't work (the second time). So I never came back. I didn't post anything because posting in french it is a lot harder than posting in english. I mostly didn't get anything because of the language, but like the pictures and the french people. I liked the site and the french touch of it.

Please go on posting information concerning Corthay, Paris and souliers.net.

Yours
GN

You woz robbed - Those misers at LVMH!!!

It is a well-known fact, that Dom Perignon produces the finest of all shoe shines.

Surely LVMH could have stretched to one of those (minimum a Jeroboam)!

I Apologize Bengal_stripe

but for the souliers.net manifestation it was "Don Ruinart cuvÃ

e speciale
" in a Nabuchodonosor form (25 fine drinkers). (Champagne Ruinart is the latest acquisition of LVMH)

Don Perignon is for the Swann club......

.....anyway Champagne is better on mouthes than on the leather.....

I wonder, how come none of these lads, Corthay included, wear a pocket square?

According to the recent Berluti PR, they only [sic] are using Veuve Clicquot now even at Swann Club meetings.
