I sold two Corneliani shirts to a member. He received them today but he says he's not impressed with the quality and that Boss shirts feel better in terms of fabric.

I don't have any Boss shirts so I can't say anything. What do you think?

I find Corneliani to be the worst of the SF approved brands as far as shirts go. I don't know anything about Boss, but I kind of wish I didn't own mine and it's only been a few months.

If it is a seller / buyer dispute though, the fault indisputably lies with him. You are not responsible for the quality of the shirts.

I have several Boss shirts, but not one Corneliani shirt,
so cannot offer comparison.

(so why did I type this?

I mean, Corneliani is not my favorite shirt maker, and I think they are way overpriced at retail, but comparison to Boss is quite unfair. The fabrics are at least one notch higher, and the buttons are MOP compared to Boss's plastic. The collars are also executed in a subtler manner. It's one thing to say they aren't the best in their class at retail, but they are not as bad as Boss.

boss shirts are pretty crappy, if corneliani really is worse, then it must really suck. the only shirt i have that is worse than boss is a jcrew outlet shirt, everything else is better.

I'd say they are about the same quality wise (with fit going to hugo and quality slightly going to corneliani) I've also never owned a corneliani shirt with MOP buttons.

I have two Hugo Boss 'New Classic' shirts that are about 18 years old. They are made with egyptian cotton and have MOP buttons (albeit rather thin ones). They were made in Switzerland.

I also have three newer ones. Two are Boss, Hugo Boss and have plastic, cross stitched buttons. One is a very nice soft twill, the other a 'midlish' end-on-end.

The last one is a Boss Selection with very nice, thick MOP buttons. They are not cross stitched but they are all shanked. One of the button holes is already comming apart.

When looking at Corneliani shirts recently, I noticed that they all had plastic buttons with 'Corneliani' printed on them. The fabric looked decent, I guess.

I would have thought that a Corneliani would be better than a Boss shirt, but those printed buttons are really a turn off. I'd check Zegna or Zileri instead.

I know that Boss uses or at least used to use Thomas Mason fabrics, but I don't know which category.
