1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

I was in Harry Rosen today and saw that they've started carrying a very large Corneliani collection. I think they have more Corneliani than they do Canali and Vestimenta combined, though obviously the Armani Collezioni and Hugo Boss collections still dominate.

ANYWAY: the Corneliani stuff is beautiful, and quite fashion-forward. Nothing outlandish -- almost a cross between Etro and Canali. All the suits were double-vented, with funky but wearable pinstripes. Paisley-underprint striped shirts. What's odd though, is that I've never seen Corneliani stuff that looks like this. When I asked the salesperson what the deal was, he said simply that they wanted to carry this sort of stuff (1) because it moves fast and (2) it doesn't encroach too badly on Canali, etc.

Anyone seen this stuff anywhere else?

I have not, but I love Corneliani. Their pieces are just as well made and good looking as other designers who most consider in a league above them. That's fine with me, as it means better deals for those of us that know.. [IMG]
