Corneliani Cerimonia - what do you know about it? Please help out!

Dear Community!

I recently bought two Corneliani Cerimonia suits, beautiful black pinstripes with peak lapels.
Upon arriving, I was a bit puzzled:

.)A tag inside says "Nitor Taranto" aswell with "Corneliani" - I can't find anything about this and haven't seen it before?
.)The tag on the sleeve is in grey colors (aswell as inside) instead of black and the sleeves feature five buttons (like on the "trend" line)?
.)The pinch test for canvassing would suggest that this is a glued suit - and oddly I am not able to softly tear the inlay from the thicker (in)side?

As the price ($650 in sale) and the sales persons opinion would suggest is that it is on par with the mainline - but it is really? For a gluejob it is too much I guess.

I'm all confused - could you help out please?

Nitor is a boutique in Taranto, Italy. Sometimes the boutiques get the suit manufacturers to attach the label of the store name to the suit lining as well. You see this often with tailored clothing sold at Saks Fifth Avenue, for example. Based on the labels, I'd say that the Corneliani suit is legit, but the best way to tell is to look at the manufacturer/fabric tag in the lining pockets. It has a very distinct look. You can find examples of what the tags look like on eBay or by searching the forum.

Great insights here CutandSew - thank you very much!
As english isn't my first language - is distinct meant as positive or "special"-euphenism?

Could you please tell me about the canvass - I really don't know why the pinch test isn't working on this one.

By distinct, I mean the tag will be different from all the other suit manufacturers and is unique to Corneliani only. Search in this thread for the corneliani tags: http://www.styleforum.net/t/24109/hof-labels-heels-and-nail-patterns-secrets-to-id-the-maker

As for the canvassing. I can't really help you without feeling it myself. All I can do is recommend that you search "pinch test" here on Styleforum. It will take some searching ad quite a bit of reading, but I think you'll find all the tricks and tests that the members here use to try and determine if there is canvassing.
