Flat front cords - does it look better with or without cuffs?

Strictly speaking, flat front pants are supposed to be cuffless. Having said that, if they are to be worn with a jacket and tie, I prefer that all pants be cuffed.

On what basis? This "rule" seems highly spurious.

I prefer cuffs in general, so my advice may be biased, but I think cuffs are particularly appropriate on corduroys. Cords are casual "country" garments making the turnup cuff follow naturally.

I use a 2" cuff on everything except jeans.

I'm picturing cuffs with turn ups, it just seems like most cords would look really chunky at the bottom.

Pleated cords are about as ugly as it gets.
