Cordings suits?

Just wondering, does anyone have any experience with Cordings suits? All suits that were regularly £595 are £375 right now.

Half-canvassed, but the trousers look really nice with a button fly and side tabs. Working cuffs on the jacket sleeve. Just wondering if anyone knew what the fit was like and how the sleeve length usually runs.

Fit is boxy and generous in the traditional English style - heavily suppressed waist with strong shoulders. Certainly not for a youthful or slim figure who would want a fashion forward fit. Very very conservative.

Construction is about on par with your standard English RTW makers around the same price bracket - think of the standard fare in say Harvie & Hudson, Ede & Ravenscroft RTW or similar.

Personally I wouldn't bother as the cut and fabrics are definitely meant for the London scene and climate - I'm not too sure how well they'd migrate.

Thanks! I'll pass then. The trousers look quite nice though, but it doesn't look like they sell any wool trousers separately. Their moleskins look great, but shipping to the US is pretty pricey.

Their trousers, especially their casual ones, have always have been nice and I've owned two pairs myself. Need to take them in on the leg quite drastically however for a modern fit.

I bought a nice grey suit 38R this summer. The work is fine, but the cut is quite generous, meaning that I had to take the suit to my tailor to get it fit properly. Still - good buy. Especially I like the button fly and side adjusters, which allow me to use suspenders. But if you want a more modern suit, try something else.
