I've been thinking for a while about buying a covert coat, and since Cordings recently started its website with online shopping I thought I might as well order from them.

I was initially thinking about a traditional tan covert coat, but now I am considering the dark blue alternative as well. No choice made yet. Thoughts ? The tan is more appealing and more different, but the dark blue is probably more versatile (day/evening - color coordination).

Now one last question: is it me, or is the picture displayed on Cordings website truly horrible ?

The coat seems almost ill-fitting (very high on the waist), I'm not particularly fond of the idea of wearing it without a jacket or a sweater underneath, and this guy truly seems to have a big head, doesn't he ?

Specially remarkable compared to the other image for the tan covert coat which is on Cordings website :

Any experience regarding Cordings covert coats and covert coats truly welcome.

I agree that the guy in the photo doesn't look polished; one should not wear a coat without a sweater or a jacket inside.

I have a Cordings covert coat. The material, as expected, is quite coarse as it is supposed to be country wear. The cut is fine, but would have preferred a slightly softer fabric.
