Long time lurker looking for a casual, everyday sports coat for wearing in classes, clubs, chilling, and potential meetings with esteemed adults. My 'style' right now is low-key and simple as I'm in Honolulu, where everything is laid back: fitted cotton shirts, cargos or plaid shorts, Vans slip-ons. I feel a nice sports coat would add spazz for nights out or suaveness for business-like conferences and interviews, to wear over a collar shirt or my usual cotton shirts. Something in vein of these:

I got this style from the LOST first season dvds where it's told that Damon Lindelof walked into an ABC meeting with a sports coat or blazer over a Star Wars shirt. I prefer the first jacket shown, as it seems the most casual. Thanks, I'm still noobish to fashion and style, but this boards have been a great guide.

Those are much too structured. Looks like it belongs to a suit.

Try something less structured for a more casual look.

But seriously, don't get "sportcoats" looks somewhat like orphaned suit jackets.

Odd buttons, patterns, textures and structure (or lack therof) make a sportscoat.

Given the pics he posted, something tells me that the OP is looking for something different than what you're looking for . . .

Then the thread title should be "Cool Orphaned Suit Jackets".

When I was younger I used to wear suit jackets with jeans. Hell, even striped jackets with jeans.

Is that Fred Durst? Is he still alive? Wow.

...Why do you want to look like Fred Durst?

Revolve Clothing, Yoox. They should have plenty of options. Forget interviewing for anything like a typical office job in such a jacket. however.
