Read again. Those aren't stuart's choice.

    Maybe we're splitting hairs then.

Not in the context of this conversation. Yes, EG made shoes for PS. No, shoes labeled as "Stuart's Choice" are not EG, which is important for auctions such as these without pictures of the soles.

Take a look at this thread and Bengal-Stripe's response. My point is: do we know for sure - especially considering the relative rarity of Stuart's Choice shoes here? I agree that a pic of the sole would help determine who made the shoe (at least for some here, I'm not that good).

Doesn't really matter. I own a few Grenson Masterpiece PSs (& EGs). That sizing writing in the eBay auction is 100%, without a doubt, Grenson.

Those are C&J, who make for H&H.

    Thank you as always.

EG have made for H&H at one time on their country lasts (58 for instance), although C&J also made for H&H and for Purdey.

Spot on - my suspicions are aroused by the fact that I have a nigh-on identical pair of C&J (same sole, same upper leathers but with a plain captoe).

Caveat emptor, but either way they're a lovely pair of shoes.

And I have a similar pair of EGs, so I'm not sure style and leather are enough to determine maker.

Sometimes eBay really IS a window into other people's lives. Check out these Asprey cufflinks for sale: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/asprey-cufflin...-/280579391147 Not my personal cup of tea, but whatever. Go check out the seller's feedback. OK, not a frequent eBayer, but seems good... huh... buying maternity jeans and infant baby clothes, must be pregnant and selling off some stuff to finance the kid on the way. Fair enough. Now check out her other items for sale, in particular the pendant necklace, and read the description. Seems like hubby must have been cheating on her, and now she's on her own with a kid on the way and in need of some money...
