It's nice that the seller listed the color as ravello. Auto-SNAD?

Yeah. That's real honest. Please, let's see if we can come up with ways to take advantage of people.

That was in jest, of course. But it would be nice if such less-knowledgeable (or, potentially unscrupulous) sellers would do a little more research before listing a rare color in lieu of the obvious, actual color. Or before listing shoes as shell when they have no idea whether they are shell or not (which is SNAD, in my mind), etc.

Sorry, it didn't come across as jest. This is a sensitive subject for me. I used to sell regularly on eBay, and the nerve of some people is outstanding. The stuff people would bicker over. They would look for any reason to complain in order to get a discount. When I would decline a discount and offer a full refund to return the item, they would all stop answering my messages.

Fair point. I probably should have put a [IMG] or a [IMG] or something after that comment.

Paolo Scafora for Gianfranco Ferre shoes (I did not now there are so many GF lines).
I'm surprised to find the same shoes I saw today in shop here in Switzerland (at about 400USD) and mentioned in the Scafora thread ... Found them on Yoox for $ 925.00--in brown and black. I wonder how long will these last? And aquirky model

Those are awesome but that's a stupid price. I have a pair of shark AEs and I didn't pay one quarter of that.

Sorry, I meant how long they will be still available before somebody buys them from Yoox, maybe with another 50% off. I saw them in real life and did not notice the 7 eyelets, I need to check again. They looked trad and classy compared to the other junk (e.g Paciotti) I saw around. I thought that Gianfranco Ferre brand is dying, they had to ruin a bit this version of the Scafora classic captoe shoes

Ferre's recent collections use all kinds of exotic materials and they've positioned themselves as one of the most $$$ RTW brands (more than Gucci/Prada/Valentino/LV, less slightly than Hermes or Chanel but in that range). I read once they considered their level between RTW and Couture, in terms of materials/pricing. I wondered about the hide as well, but it also doesn't look like calf. They had bags made of everything from seal, elephant, etc. so I was curious... As well, it's from the recent (last year or so) Ferre mainline collection, which has basic small leather bags north of $3k. These were the seasons with the Scafora shoes, the $12k leather jackets. etc. I should have been clearer in my post, as I'm not recommending anyone buy it, especially at that price... just saying that it's quite a suitcase that you don't/won't see often.
