Some people won't bid on low/zero feedback listings, which is probably why you got a good deal.

I always do, but this was a buy it now that was up for about 30m. [IMG]

^ We all had to start somewhere, right?

You got a great deal and yes, we all started at 0. I don't understand the hesitation to bid on new seller's items. I would much rather buy from a seller with 0 feedback than have a 0 feedback buyer bid on my stuff.

100% agree - and there are so many more precautionary measures in place to start a sellers account now, as opposed to the old days (2000 for me), Im much more comfy with it.

So tempting! Postage to the UK knocks the deal up to £200 or thereabouts but no photos of the soles! [IMG]

Judging from the sock liners, these look to be well worn.

You will be forever remembered by him as the first one to rip him off.

Ahhh, that feeling you get when you're the beneficiary of this situation!

I got a pair of practically new Talbott pillow links like the ones below, but in red enamel, from a person who was selling these and some rusty pliers on ebay, all for the first time. I got them for $14. What's funny, though, is that I went to work the next day and ran into my colleague who stated that he forgot about placing a bid on some links and got outbid - and it was these he was talking about! So, when I received them I put them in front of him while he was doing some paperwork. Yes, I did give them to him, and he was shocked and delighted to have that happen to him.
