Im on the fence about these Cheaney buckshots. Its a 1/2 size smaller than I usually wear (8.5UK in C&J).. anyone have any idea how these fit?

Not tried these, but from my C&J and Cheaney experience you're going to find them 1/2 size too small...

the seller has these listed at $165.99 (pre-owned) but has fairly light wear and they are lavorazione originale with channeled soles. I'm hunting for a business casual (sportcoat, slacks) loafer.. the price seems a tad high. What sayeth ye learned folke? Looks like the Gazette model which retailed for about $480.00

was hoping you really smart guys could give me some feedback [IMG]

I would not even pay $165 for a pair of new Lavarazione Originale oxfords. In fact, if they need to be either a great bargain or Tramezza.

That said, most of the time price is not the chief factor. If you have been hunting for ones for a long time, and this is one of the rare ones that you like, you can always pull the trigger with little to no regret. After all, saving some $$$ may not worth the hunting effort which costs time/patience/nerve etc.,

With shipping, you're in $320...for Cheaney Buckshot shoes? For a little more, couldn't you find some C&J's?

Wait till seller eventually posts a pair in the same size as your other Cheaney/G&H shoes (navy monk and black shell wingtips?).

[IMG] It's mine now. MCM and wife's an Eli ... hope she likes it! Thanks for the tip.

I swear ... one can go broke tracking this thread. At least RJ stopped posting - that was the worst! The agony of finding out about all these little things you never knew you needed or wanted, and bidding frantically to buy them ...

Glad you got it...it looked nice but a little too preppy for my wife.
