    These could be made cleaned up pretty well with a little work, and would end up being a hell of a lot nicer than any other shoes you could get for $100.

    Oh I don't doubt that they'd be a viable restoration project, but I almost expected the Ebay listing to say "Only worn twice!" Excellent condition they are not.

    Hah that's fair. But as someone who can't afford $1500 shoes, I'm happy to put in the work to make a pair like that wearable again. Will they ever look good as new - of course not - but they could be made beautiful.
