NOS Florsheim gunboats in 10.5 D

seller would probably take $100 - $125, I had a brief exchange with him but decided I didn't want to buy

Indeed. Though their corrected grain make me :fu:

I look forward to them! I have been looking for a pair of sleek brogue boots, and these seem to fit the bill. That damn Lindrick boot never seems to be available in my size.

That was me who bought it too quickly to notice it was a golf. I just received my refund along with this message

"Sure, they are golf umbrella's, that is why they are priced this low. All wood SAB umbrellas are 235 British pounds = $375 US. Go to there website and take your business else where."

So seller is knowingly lying about them. Lovely.

i dont blame you. $800 is steep but not unfair. I considered having the Cottesmore boots made up in cordovan and was quoted $960

It's probably just about retail. I'm just bitter that the pair I had in size 10 (I got them on ebay for about $50!) never fit. I also lost out on another auction for a size 9 pair last year. Those went for about $400.

    half a size off? :fu:

$400 was a great price thats assuming they were in excellent condition. wish you could have put one last bid?

The ones I had were size 10, and they fit like a 10.5. I wear a size 9.5 so they fit huge. I still wore them for almost a year before I sold them. I do wish I'd bid higher on that pair last year. On the other hand, I'm not a huge fan of shell - I'd love to have that same pair in calf. Shell wears too damn warm for me. That particular color is really pretty though. I guess it's cigar, or something close to it.

That is unfortunate, though also humorous in a way. At least you got a refund. If only eBay actually cared, it would be worth reporting.

Yeah it is pretty funny. She went and relisted the umbrella with the same description. So much to say... so few feedback characters to work with...
