you can always have your suit altered to have a modern look nowadays - a bespoke tailor can do a good job of that

Very nice 38r tweed. Supposed PRL but no pictures of the label. So tempted to kop - someone save me:

Like someone mentioned somewhere that I forget, a lot of vintage PRL is looking modern again. I think this is probably from the 70s.

True. I've talked myself out of it at this point anyway. Too much other stuff I'm watching that I'd rather have.

And here's the stuff I don't want:

Only a few hours left on my Hermes agenda and Victorian era stationary box:

Which will come in handy since this Caruso suit does not come with the Hermes tie pictured:

I just realized there are so many typos in that post. iPhone spellcheck is partially to blame.

I wonder how easy it is to remedy those stains. They looks rather severe.
These are tempting as I have been in the hunt for suede tassels. Unfortunately the uppers and soles both look beat to ****.

"slight water damage" - those shoes should have a salvage tag. why would someone buy these?

The uppers actually look pretty darn clean in the pic in the body of the ad. The overhead shot is a bad angle, i think. The footbed is very clean, with the Trickers stamp very clear., so I doubt they were worn that many times.

Hmm. Well maybe I'll try and grab them. Take a brush to them, add some new heels and slap some Topys on them.

Depending on how high they end up going, it might be worth a shot. I had a pair of Grenson MPs that had severe water/salt stains - the white cloudy looking stuff. Nick V. at B. Nelson recommended a salt stain remover (it was a fluid that came in a small bottle with the sponge top thingee) - the shoes looked great after applying the remover, letting it dry, and then applying renovateur. Unfortunately, the same pair got caught in the rain (me too) and the stains came back so I'll probably need to do the process over again. But while they were dry, the stains were pretty much gone. I don't think you could see them when viewed close-up.

I was interested in those too but the real question is are they actually a US 9.5D? There's no US branding so I'm inclined to believe those are UK sized.
