The first two are mine. I just happened to throw up a small bid for the Edward Green loafers and was amazed that I won. All "designed by EG for ..." are 100% EG. The Great RJman sold an identical pair on SF back in 2006http://www.styleforum.net/forum/thread/19968/fs-rare-edward-green-loafers-with-lasted-trees. They are really great looking loafers with an awesome patina.

No need for an apology. I should be thanking you. The C&J just sold and the EGs have over 100 views(with 18 watchers).

Those sold for an amazing price thanks in part to a seemingly unaware original seller - one of those once in a while on eBay things. Congrats. I was able to resist (likely to my detriment) from bidding as I don't think I can pull off wearing them. Your pics do them much more justice BTW.

How the hell does someone in Germany have access to Tonys personal shoe castoffs, and how can I be him?

Shocked that isshinryu101 hasn't jumped on these. His name is written all over them.

Absolutely NOT shell. They do sell this model in calf as well, and this is it.

Those shoes are in what C&J calls "Cavalry calf": calf leather made to look like shell (when new), going distinctly ugly, once worn for a while.

Tony sold some of his personal shoes on eBay (maybe four years ago). Buyer was a guy from Germany, whose name I recognized as a member of one of the German forums. Different name to the current seller; he might have changed his eBay name in the mean time, or the shoes were sold on to someone else.

I've always wondered why C&J even produces this leather, it's awful!

Which part?!

if it wouldn't be cordovan the shop in the first district of vienna would cheat on their customers. they always have a choice of cordovan and calf on display and this looks like their cordovan offer. just my two cents.

if my information is correct(several different sources), the founder of the shop mr. mughrabi, is also the brain behind alt-wien. i cannot imagine, that he would be going that easy on his baby.

ps: if somebody from here(sf) wins them and can say it's otherwise, i stand corrected.

Fritzl are you saying that you believe these shoes are shell? Sorry I'm a bit slow this morning.

a bit plain for my tastes... but I did save them in the watch list. Maybe I'll have too much bourbon one night and...
