Lobb Paris - 7.5 William BIN $255. Have seen better days, but look to have lots of life... They are my size, but unfortunately, I already have this exact shoe...

Those are from the days when they were made by C&J.

Thanks for the edification - I noticed the label was different, but didn't know they were made by C&J. Assume the quality has gone up since Lobb took them in-house? How would you describe the quality differential?

I've never actually handled a C&J-era Lobb. I just know the C&J writing. I assume they are good quality. I don't know how it compares to the current stuff.

These Hanover saddles in 9.5D are listed as used, but if they've been worn, it hasn't been much. Seller says they're shell, and the opening bid is only $19.38. Might get a bargain on a nice pair of "used" shoes.

They were pretty damned well worn, but someone bought them for $255. I noticed that they had an "s" stamp on the inside of the shoes - I assume that indicates that they were originally classed as subs. So, someone paid $255 (plus shipping) for a very well-worn pair of subs that were originally made by C&J... when they probably could have got a brand new, first quality pair of C&J double monks for under $400 with shipping included.
