I am by nature a critical thinker, and the way I think often involves eliminating what's wrong to narrow down to what's right. It is my nature. I don't know any of you, I have nothing to lose...

A lot of people think they are critical thinkers.

For the sake of balance, I'll concede what's his name's kitchen is nice. I'd prefer a steel sink and faucet, but whatever. Going around complementing dudes on the internet seems pretty **** thus the bar is high.

A_Y, you are the perfect example of, "Me thinks the lady doth protest too much." At some point your schtick of not caring makes it apparent just how much you care. I've read some of your posts that are actually pretty insightful. They're few and far between, and growing in both dimensions, but they're there. Stop trying to live up to your schtick so hard and actually say something when you say something.

This "I don't care" thing has been a bit of a nuisance. I'm not carrying around a banner that says "I don't care," but a few of you have latched onto it. When prompted, I have explained the true nature of how I use SF. Anonymously, and with no intention of ever meeting any of you in person (aside from those who are involved in businesses that I might patronize).

This frees me from layering on a screen of white lies or bite-your-tongues. It's the only avenue I treat this way, and it's a bit interesting, a bit amusing, so I post sometimes. Often bored at work. Some of you guys seem pretty decent and interesting, but the ship has sailed...

yeah I remember your NYC furniture search.

You must be thinking of someone else.

I'm not. Glad your trip to Room and Board was solid, however many years ago.

Do you feel even more superior making fun of the midwest than you do the South? Are people that live in the midwest just total **** that you can feel smarter than, more sophisticated...?

I equate this form of arrogance with people that haven't actually been around all that much.

I don't think much of either.

Upon reflection, I guess I don't want to ruin a bunch of people's fun. I'll abandon the forum, save for germane queries. Germain? Relevant queries.

Again, it's not that I think you're a bad guy, or that you lack intelligence or insight on certain things, you just got too carried away with the schtick. Concentrate on quality as I've enjoyed some of your posts.

there are better places around. I've always liked your town.

It actually continues to improve also. Been some big changes in the scene since last time you were here.
