It’s fine?

Have you been to Furnish Green? They always have a lot of vintage Danish credenzas and dressers. Very fair prices too.

I have not. Thanks for the rec.

Anything more exciting that you would recommend for bedroom storage?

I think you can find a more exciting Danish than that or a Brasília style or brutalist dresser… but it’s rare to find a great vintage piece when you’re looking for one. Takes a lot of visiting vintage shops and fairs

Damn, that's exactly what I was about to suggest.

Alternatively, if you want to go minimal mid-century there are quite a few Paul McCobb pieces out there at a reasonable price in maple or oak - I really like them and I think they are some of the best value MCM stuff available.

in other news bath reno is going really well , 3 small change orders which i think will be about it and the carpenter is doing a nice job of keeping everything together and smooth . scheduled for a couple more weeks i see no obstacles , the meat of rough plumbing and electric has been done and the walls are currently drying out for the painters . i'm happy .

casting about for a smallish shelf system (not string) to support 3 or 4 floating shelves behind the door, about 2' width max . opinions welcome .

We sold our somewhat older mid-century (1949) home in the bay area back in 2016. It recently sold again. We were horrified to see the buyer sheetrocked over the wood ceiling and wall in the living room ... for the flip.

* She'd sent us a letter "I can see myself playing my cello in the very lovely living room with San Francisco in the background." Lying byotch. Of course the cello had no impact on why we sold ... it was the 100% cash offer (with no contingency) at above asking. Still, I never!
