Is there a comfortable and reasonably ergonomic office chair that doesn't look like it should be on an investment bank trading floor? Asking for the Mrs. who doesn't want an Aeron/Steelcase in her rather frou frou home office -- but is putting the hours in in there again.

Any interest here in Philip and Kelvin Laverne pieces here? They compliment the Broyhill Brasilia look IMO.

I'll buy an Eternal Forest coffee or dining table if you're selling.

Edit - just checked the prices. I should have jumped when they were under 10K.

Nice. I just checked: Here in Denmark new ones go for around $11K. Also found a closed auction for a limited model in wengé, which had been valued at $14.3K (no notice of how much it went for).

After your post I did some searching and see these having sold for $12,000-$18,000 on a few different auction sites. New ones here are about $12,000.

I will try and stop by the auction house tomorrow for a preview. I'd enjoy seeing this in person as well as some of the artwork and photography they have coming up for sale on Saturday.

Let's talk marble. What are everyone's opinions about Knoll's arabescato marble vs calacatta? They seem to be fairly similar in veining with calacatta leaning towards ivory and beige instead of the stark greys of arabescato. I would do satin instead of glossy.

Arabescato is of course cheaper and it seems Knoll is currently supply limited with calacatta at this time.

This sold for $7,680, out the door, with tax and buyers fees. A very good deal compared to recent auction sales.

I've seen a similar Italian design, though not quite so flamboyant.

I've mentioned my interest in collecting "Eskimo art", well I'm very excited about an upcoming Inuit artists whose work brings my interests together with @foo's:
