I agree. My point was just that the higher the value of goods the higher the profitability, generally. Hermes has much higher margins than Ralph Lauren.
Up to a point. Price is no guarantee of margin - see Aston Martin. If you look over a +10 year period the companies that consistently deliver economic profit above market average are very few. And there is no significant correlation with price position
