As much as I like most Nakashima furniture, that one piece doesn't look very comfy for sitting. Much better as a bar. Well done!
How many cords is that? That‘s what I thought. But they are surprisingly comfy. I might end up getting one sometime in the future. I was shown some wood options

That is a miserable seat design from the ergonomics POV: depressed cane center, rigid rims and poke-through front leg tops. It may be famous, even award-winning, but having had one in the household once, it is the chair to offer when you want the guest to leave.I don't like Chairs posted. They look to me like a kindergarten chairs. Also the design element of the front legs sticking through the seat is a terrible idea in practice, I am talking from experience.
Look at Ekornes Stressless chairs: super-comfortable with a modern aesthetic.Talking with my wife about our next home and how we will mix Corbusier, Navajo, Mission Oak and a pair of comfortable reading chairs. We seem to be coming back to the fact that we love all kinds of modern, period, antiques, etc., but for real comfort you kinda want a cozy recliner chair. Is there any such thing besides a Lazy Boy????
Now you need to go and watch some of those tree-slabbing videos on Youtube where they are cutting these pieces and reveal after a slosh of water on the newly-cut board what has never been seen before. That‘s what I thought. But they are surprisingly comfy. I might end up getting one sometime in the future. I was shown some wood options
