vitsoe shelves arrived
to be installed on monday
a new life begins

Any pics?

Where can they be purchased and for how much? I've thinking about getting a Nelson desk for the bedroom. Do they have something that would serve that need?

How easy would it be to uninstall if I move?

As far as I know, Vitsoe can only be bought from Vitsoe. This is certainly true in the US.

They have desks/drawers that fit into their shelving system. Quality appears to be top-notch.

I'm a little disappointed myself. He seems to be switching to some sort of amphibrachic meter, but it doesn't scan very well.

Too early to tell about the rhyme scheme, though.

Thoughts on a white leather Eames lounge chair?

Meh. Very fashionable in 2009.

I think the it looks better in darker leathers.

Agreed. There is one for sale in perfect condition for cheap (for the Eames lounger). My concern is it would go in my library/reading room, which will be on the dark side, and I fear it will stand out in a bad way by being so light.

Even if a good price, I have to imagine it is still substantial.

I've never been happy with compromises like that when it comes to things I care about. Better to buy what you really want and save elsewhere or buy less stuff.

I own a white and walnut eames chair and I still agree with this. More so I think, I would prefer it in dark colors.
A friend of mine has one in his library that is midnight blue and palisander. The room is fairly dark and it looks right at home.

He has it in dark leather?

Midnight blue is quite dark, not sure the exact name of the edelman leather anymore, but that is as close a description as I can think of.

Dark blue would be nice, as would olive/moss green or a dark brown. Of course black always looks right on that chair.

I contemplated getting one with tweed upholstery years ago, but if I recall, Herman Miller would only do leather. Anyway, re-upholstering the cushions on an Eames is a specialized task I'd rather avoid, so leather--which should never need changing--is probably the better choice.

That's fair. The chair is $700 and has been sitting on CL for weeks already vs other stuff that sells in worse condition for more than $1k down here.
