1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The upcoming Wright auction (Dec 09 ) has some very cool items (I'm a total design auction junkie).

Thanks for this. Took a look at the site. When I added the bed I've been wanting, it had the discount before I included the code. Strange. At first I thought adding the code might decrease it an additional 15%. No such luck. Is now the right time to buy or will there be bigger discounts around Xmas? Lots of things on sale there now for >50%...

Not a product, but I came across this house and there's something I really love about how it is decorated. Something a bit Labelking meets 2001: Space Odyssey meets barnyard, for lack of a better description. I can't say that I love everything there but it is a nice, refreshing change from a lot of cookie cutter MCM that is often displayed in house tours

Wow the only thing in this thread I would have in my home. Really it would go better in my office though.

Don't like the price at all though ($3.5k) << not for the faint of heart - unhide at your own risks

^ I like it too, but the knife part is functionally dumb. It wouldn't be hard to make one on your own either if you had the right tools, though it might be difficult to source a nice piece of lumber like that.

Hah, those are paired with the Saarinen in a different room. Preemptive breakfast nook buying (I don't have one currently).

I need to commit to buying only things designed in 1990 or later now.

I think it is really cool, but am not sure how it would work outside of a very minimal or ancient, like southwestern France ancient, kitchen. In those it would look great, bringing some warmth to the minimalism, or some geometry to a really old,
