Doesn't offend me much, but it will certainly reduce the value if that matters to you.
if you're going to fuck it up by cutting it down might as well go ahead and add some racing stripes and LED strips underneath
That table is quite generic, so I would not fuss about it. It seems it would make a better coffee table. Cut them off!
Make it yours!
Sell it on and buy what you want. It doesn´t sound like a compromise that you are happy with, so don´t screw with the table to the next owners chagrin.
Risom stuff does nothing for me personally, it's always too mindful of quick production.
How about I make it look truly tacky, and inscribe it with the "best" UnnamedPlayer posts in this thread?
The condition it is in now won't bring in much unless I do some work on the finish. I think what I'll do is clean up the top and put it in our new place, then decided if it still feels too tall (new living room is larger). FWIW I've had a few people over and asked them for one criticism of the table, and it was always the height.
Amen brother, I hear you.....thats why I stopped taking Kylie Minogue to swinger parties.
Gotta agree. Risom does absolutely nothing for me. The table does not excite me at all so if you are not 100% in love, I would sell (Not sure if it's worth anything to begin with. Found your table in restored condition between $200 and $550 on eBay, so clearly not worth much) and get what you really like.
You wouldn't know cool people if they hit you in the face out of a wet paper bag, or something. Go die in a curated ditch.
Lol, and here come the wisdom from a resident juvenile delinquent (or as he prefers: l'enfant terrible).
P.S. I enjoy 'freshcutgrass' informed and elloquent posts.
He's a dumb cunt with a lot of knowledge but no understanding of the wider issues surrounding art and design.
Please take pics of bar.
I'm exceedingly happy with it but still loath to create the shit storm I know posting it will.
