    Well,

We have the heavy duty stuff (Aeron or whatever) at the office. No need to have something ugly like that at home just cause I need to log on every once in a while. I have no concerns about comfort, just wondering if anyone has insight on construction and/or how they hold up over time.

Cherner's stuff is high quality, it'll hold up.

Thx. The thin little back area at the bottom of the triangle gives one pause, if only visually.

I want it more than I need it... not sure how long I'll be able to hold out.

Is that some type of sword on top? Nice work. You must spend a lot of time carpentering. Carpenting. Carpernterating.

It's tapered from the front, but that is the most important part of the chairs design. They were able to increase the number of veneers in that area, so it's very thick from the side profile.

Most of the good manufacturers back each veneer with a textile webbing to increase the strength. It's one of the reasons why they can flex for years and years without de-laminating, where the cheap shit falls apart in a couple years.

Yep, I bought that sword when I was 12, had it in my parents basement. She wanted to display it, which I think makes teleconferencing more interesting.

Thanks, and fair to say I spend a good deal of time doing carpentry.

I wish I had the requisite free time to engage in some such hobby/craft.

Yup, and while it looks like it just grabs the sides there is actually a full length cleat attached to the backs of the shelves.

I have some Baughman chairs at Todd Merrill on consignment. One of you cats should buy them. These are seriously bad ass.

Oh shit - another cool threat with all the usual suspects. Was just reading the last few pages. Nice stuff. Like FindFinn's pics of those Brazilian chairs. And thank God Hay got a shout out as 60% of the furniture in my place is Hay. Not yet all that common in the US.

    I will be following.

amazingly you got that half-right, twice!

The middle book shelf looks sloppy.
Needs to be flush with the side units or more clearly defined with a large step.
