1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

They look better in real life as well. They have a lot of life to them, I think. Great chairs for a nap, too. I love the Proust chair but I want to get two outdoor ones in white, not pointillist.

The bird chair looks fantastic. I felt pretty awesome in the proust chairs I've tried.

I like Tom Dixon's stuff, but those candle holders and the matching lamps got old pretty quickly for me.

They look like something you can find at a medina in Morocco.

I never liked the candle holders, but I came *this* close to getting the Copper Shade lamp. In the end I realised it was too prissy for my needs, with it's mirror-like surface, so I ended up with something else.

i'm having a hard time believing that the One Chair discussion has been going on for more than 10 pages and you guys haven't been able to change the :foo:'s mind. Maybe after 10 more?

Guys, I was never asking for approval. I just wanted to show you the dining chairs we're getting and have wanted for years. They're already ordered.

the first one? That's a side table by Tom Dixon.

    I kind of want it.

The first thing, with the brass base, is a side table--Tom Dixon. The second, which is green, is a table lamp designed by the Bouroullec brothers.

Do you like MCM for the era it evokes or for another reason?

I worried it was a table. Should be a light.
