Thanks for the responses. Yes, I think my two options are to reconfigure the dining set placement by moving it and the rug a bit closer to the living space plus lose the grayish-brown chair (the plan is to replace it with a pouf that takes up less space) OR simply live with working from my dining table which I rarely use to eat anyway. If it's the former, I'll have to decide if I want the yellow or red arrow-sized shelving/desk system.

Couple years ago - as usual, I had to post the incredibly made and incredibly expensive Atlas system. I'm not sure what @Parker ended up with

Yes, it was me! I was looking for a wall-mounted desk for a small nook for my wife's work space. I looked at the Atlas and the Viscoe. but we ran out of cash from the other parts of the remodel so she is just using our small kitchen table for her desk. But it's cool! made by local designer. A little 90s.

These look like the tables and chairs they had at the dearly departed Universal Cafe. 🥲

About five years ago, I posted a String System desk that fits in a small space.

I love my string shelves. Once I move into a larger space I plan on investing in more.

Having said that I’m not sure how great a desk they would make unless you just use a laptop and no external monitors.
