Figure I'll X-post these here. Ordered these a few days back, delivery should be tomorrow. CTS (Chuck Taylor Skate) hi-tops. They will be available in white too by the summer, both hi and low. First pair of sneakers I've bought in ages.

I like Converse though, more specifically the Jack Purcell. I have several pairs and just got these in from Gilt.

I don't know if anyone has perused the international Converse sites at all out of boredom, but I found some pretty unique models available in the Austrailia and oddly, the Balkans, (some of the other european sites were harder to navigate so I didn't check them all) as well as Japan (obviously). I'd never seen these models before, and I wonder why they wouldn't make them available in the US... maybe I'll dig up the links later so you don't just wonder why I brought it up. I wouldn't exactly buy them (some Japan ones maybe) but they are interesting.

I think the final stock of these are finally wearing thin. I grabbed them specifically because I knew if I held off too much longer then when I REALLY wanted them they wouldn't be around anymore... I don't know for what season these came out but I guess I'd figure early or mid 09? Maybe earlier?

If you have wear 9, 9.5 or 10 you're lucky 6pm.com still has them. I forgot/didn't realize 6pm still had them and got mine at Nordstroms who had to ship them in from another store.

I purchased a 9 earlier this week. I'm looking forward to adding them to my JP collection.

I'd wear the padded collar ones if the foxing stripe was changed to white, laces changed to black, eyelets and toecaps changed to black.

My shoe collection is predominantly Converse which is probably why most of my posts here have been in Converse-related threads (and I'm def not into high fashion)... I used to be all about Chuck Taylors but there's been a slight shift to Purcells lately. I'm hoping to add 2 different styles of Purcells to my Purcell collection (3 currently, hoping to be 5 eventually; in 4 different styles). They are more comfortable than Chucks, slightly subtler/classier in style (though not implying Chucks are obnoxious/unclassy haha), but equally rad. God knows I don't *need* any more shoes at this time, but *want* overrules need so much =)
