Which jeans break-in faster? Is it a sign of the qulaity of denim or qulaity of dye? I have a pair of Nudie selvage and a pair of Kicking Mules and the Mules are breaking in much faster. Of course, I want the jeans to last but I like the contrast once the jeans getting really broken in. Are there any dry brands that break in relatively fast? I like dry jeans and the individuality of them but i am not all that patient while breaking them in? How do APC's compare?

I find that Skulls fade REALLY fast. Jeans made with Texas Cotton in general fade faster.

The speed of the fading process is a property of both the dye, the dyeing process, and the substrate yarn, but does not necessarily correlate with quality.

I think that you have the opposite experience compared to most people, myself who find that KMW is much more resistant to fading than Nudies. ime, APCs fade rapidly after several weeks.

IME fit is another factor, too. Those jeans I have that have faded most quickly have been slim but just slightly loose. I assume this is because it allows them to form deeper creases and exposes them to more abrasion. My New Standards are fading significantly slower than my Svens, for example.

Now that I've put equal time into something else, I can say with confidence that APCs fade ridiculously fast. Agree with Sauce that a slim but not too-tight fit is best for promoting creases/abrasion.

Of course the most important factor is how often/hard you wear them. Even a pair of Flatheads won't be too impressive if you just sit on your ass all day.
