I second that notion. He always posts worthy posts.
Just to add on Ivwri + others, parker + davidlee + asobu + dantebysomething (<- incredible fit pics) just off the top of my head for somehow managing to keep the yohji thread going and just exposing the forum to different silhouettes and such.
lol, the M/C thread is actually pretty funny if you guys kept up with the M/C memes from god knows when, but they will never ever stop talking about it. Imagine me forgetting what wash tween's OL jeans are every other day... (that nutrition mid-stream pee guy is insane though)...
He also has hands-down the best blog of any SF user
Did you link the blog in the text? Cause it doesn't work
This post was full of knowledge on how:
i) details like cut and hardware can change the nature of an item
ii) period styling and fashion is critical to understanding how to wear an item
much better than MC version over here...
I need posts, guys, not just posters. About 3 hours before I choose the first winnar.
I nominate this post.
it's like inception. a post inside a post inside a post.

Stanley van Buren nominating Synthese: http://www.styleforum.net/t/303455/the-contentedness-thread/50_50#post_5570378
Really glad you chose that post, and not just because I nominated it; I really do think it's one of the best topics and best posts in that topic, and Synth's writing is top-notch. These are the kinds of posts that really add value and knowledge to the forum overall.
I think it's an excellent topic, and Hendrix should get all the credit in the world from tearing us back from the brink of the baller abyss. Men love clothes with stories (I had a conversation about this with my tailor a couple of weeks ago), and I think that it's a thread we could all contribute to - not only because it gives us a chance to flex our writing chops and tell some stories (and who doesn't love telling stories), but seriously, it's a pretty worthy topic in and of itself. So, cheers to Stanley, and to Hendrix, and to everyone else who contributed to the thread, because that's kind of what it's all about.
Keep on finding the gems, folks. New post on Wednesday.
I nominate Ivwri's original post in the Yohji thread. It's full of great information, from the historic to the practical, and it is a work in progress, meaning Ivwri continues to take the time to update it. It's also the post that started the thread that gave a lot of SFers (myself included) a closer look at Yohji's work, making it accessible where before it had seemed remote and even maybe a little anachronistic. The thread itself is great: informative, welcoming, polite (!), and smart, with a genuine sense of community, and I believe that tone was set right at the start.
