+1 Really, and not to be a dick, I think it is head and shoulders above Tooch's. It hits all the major points in a clear and simple package. What more could one ask for?
Well...I will agree with you and no offense taken at all, simple is usually best! I had an idea and decided to see how it looks, I like how it kinda turned out and so there you have it. I guess I will try and do a simple version myself...
Tooch, I'm actually really interested in seeing your work. I may not have aspirations to make design a career but it's definitely a hobby of mine and I love to see what professionals are able to turn out so I can learn from them. Do you have an online portfolio of your print work?
I am actually re-working my site, I guess I would send you PDFs or something, but I also have to keep clients (professionally) identity confidential. I did a few things for Mauro, I guess I can post a few of those things...
I would say it's fine. I think grey hearts could be interesting, I don't know if it would look a bit tacky, but definitely worth a try. I don't think he should shrink the logos, they look like the right size. Also, as the sponsors are spending money to support the event, I think it is important to emphasize the logos. I don't think there's much to change with this design. My only comment is that it may be too generic, but I think in this case, simple is better.
It's not generic at all...I think it's a great solution, but just needs some tweaks and that's why I made those suggestions.
