There was a pair on B&S yesterday (might still be buried under a few pages) for the same Lobbs in khaki museum, but that sellers pics made them look more beige, as these look green. I think the B&S sellers pics are way better than this one. You should double check to see what the most accurate color is.

But to answer your question, I think you would lose the museum finish. You should ask Ron Rider.

Can these be darkened without losing the museum finish?

Got it but mine is with laces and not strap.
Yep it is green. A bit like snot green actually or what I imagine some dinosaur will look like in colour.

Never try darkening it cos that will defeat the purpose of the museum finish but it matches dark green pants and maybe if that day is green day, a green tone shirt. I just use normal neutral cream and maybe waterproofing polish I think. I dont wear it that often (like once every month or so) but then the same could be said for most of my shoes.

This is the pair which was a bit water damaged after a downpour but after it dried, most of the water damage was gone. Whew!

Oh oh. And if you are eyeing the pair on BS, thats UK 7 but you are a UK 8.5 from the shoes you are selling.

Wearing it would make you like one of those ancient Chinese ladies who break their feet so they can wear dainty small porcelain shoes.

But the finish is so good when I first saw it, I screamed to myself 'Mine' and I doubt I would part with it.

Huh? But your shoes you are selling are all 8.5 UK.
Do they actually fit you?
Would be keen on them if the sizing is correct.
