Hi all,

Absolutely newbie in the forum but has been reading a lot and learned a lot.

I just bought a sport coat on ebay from NY Milan. I'm really confused when I saw the model, which says "TOM FORD C/O". (See pics). To my knowledge, there is no relationship between D'Avenza and Tom Ford.

Just out of pure curiosity, could anyone explain why the model says Tom Ford other than they just felt like it?

Did you ask NY Milan? Maybe it was a piece made for Tom Ford personally.

beautiful jacket - proportions scream TF........it could maybe pass for a real TF piece to the untrained person.

That looks more like an orphaned suit jacket that a sports coat.

Absolutely, and I'm getting this for the purpose of a good-looking business suit. I'm in the process of getting a pair of charcoal grey pant (hopefully it matches).

I would not recommend this. You will not be able to find a true matching fabric. Even if you get it close, it will look off.

I do agree that the chances are very very slim. I'm just gonna go to a store and compare side by side. If it doesn't work, then I'll just return this jacket. I do really love how the jacket fits on me so I'm praying I find something.
