Conditioning calf leather shoes

Hello guys!

I need your advice please, in regards to shoe care.
I've bought new Armani dress shoes, my first dress shoes pair, and I'm quite satisfied with the purchase.
I think they're of a decent quality.
They are made of calf skin.
I've read many posts in the forum about shoe care, and looked for some basic info how to care for the shoes.
My conclusion is to buy Saphir Renovateur and condition them every once in a while. that's a good start.

My concern is, whether SR may darken the leather or harm it in any way? the leather color is black/bluish.
I attached a picture of the shoes, so you might figure out the exact leather type.
