Comprehensive OTR/RTW Measurements Thread

Hi all, There are always threads with questions from people buying online, ebay, etc. about how certain OTR/RTW items fit or measure. I thought it would be a good idea in the same vein as the "T-Shirt Measurement compendium" to collectively post the pictures and measurements of branded non-MTM/Bespoke items. This way, SF members will have an easier time deciding which size to buy during online sales. A few rules I thought would be helpful: 1) DO post photos with measurements when possible 2) DO be clear about what you're measuring 3) DO mention the style within the brand (e.g. BB Madison/Regent/Fitzgerald/Milano) 4) DO type out the details so that it is easily searchable 5) DO NOT include measurements of areas that have been altered I'll start with the ever popular BB Fitzgerald: BB Golden Fleece Fitzgerald in a 40R (2011), unaltered: Shoulders: 17" Chest (Pit-to-pit): 20" Sleeves: 25" unfinished Attachment 65631 Attachment 65632 Attachment 65633

If you're going to do this, it's worth specifying the year of production as well as the model, as these things can sometimes change from season to season (probably not so much with a BB item, but certainly other designers do vary things a bit across seasons). Also, any sub-line within the style.

To be entirely honest, I think it's a massive task with uncertain utility, but I wish you well with it.

Have to agree^^^. 2 suit jackets/pants can be cut a 1/2" off here and there. But I agree, good luck...

Date/seasons added. At the end of the day, you have to try on clothes. But hopefully this will help distinguish fits for people buying online and how sub-lines within a brand differ relative to each other. For example, when people ask whether they should size-up within a brand for different models.

Well based off the reactions, I guess I was too ambitious.
