Yes, it's worth it. I get compliments on mine all the time (even from the ladies).
I wear a 40 in both CPs and JP - chucked my chucks, but I believe they were 40 as well.
Can't speak for the hi-tops, but my low CPs have good support in the ankle - I wouldn't say it's like walking on air, but they're definitely more comfortable than chucks.

Sizing: 8/8.5 in Chucks (8.5 for width, 8 in length), 42 in CPs (ideally 41.5)

You could also take a look at Generic Man (also on Revolve). Similar styles as CP.

Yes they are expensive but I think they are worth it. Still need to grab a pair this season.

Is this accurate? -- I wear a 9 in Chucks and a 42 in Generic Man, who uses the same soles as CP.

Weird, I wear a 10 in chucks and when I tried on CP's at South Willard a 42 fit me. They were the desert boots though so maybe other CP's are different. I have heard that CP's run large.

What size shoe do you wear? I'm a 12-12.5 US and wear a 45 in Common Projects.

I first got the Achilles lows in brown leather size 43 and they were a bit loose on my foot so my second Achilles lows (tan suede) was ordered in a size 42 which fits pretty snug. For reference I wear a 9.5 in chucks. So I'd say size 42 is my ideal size.

They're nylon covered leather.

They're lined with Nappa Leather like the Desert Boots are.
