OK, I'm getting desperate. I'm looking for a low-top, white pair of the Common Projects' Achilles shoe in 11 1/2. This pair of shoes:

I'm wondering if anyone will buy it for me. They sell them at Unis and Nom de Guerre. I'll pay for the shoes, shipping and a little extra. Just name your terms and if it's reasonable and you're willing to do it I'll PayPal you. Doubt anyone's interested but still, if you live in NYC it's a little gas money to stop by a shop. Thanks.

Might I inquire - how much are the shoes and what's so special about them? I don't keep up with sneakers, still trying to start a dress shoe collection.

They're nice but if someone steps on 'em or it rains, you are not going to be pleased.

They had those at South Willard in L.A. a couple months ago. I bet they'd ship them to you.

They're about $260, which isn't that bad considering I've paid more for pairs of Y-3's. I don't know if there's really anything "special" about the sneakers, I've just heard they're incredibly well-made and I love the simplicity of them. It's exactly what I've been looking for in a sneaker. And Baron, thanks for the recommendation. Metal Circus PM'ed me the same recommendation so I might as well give it a shot.

Willard just sent my pair out! Ryan is definitely one of the friendliest shop owners I've ever met. Mad props and I encourage everyone in LA to shop there.

Thanks a ton for the recommendation guys.

I don't know Ryan, but I'm friends with a girl that works there on the weekends. They have some great stuff in there. I love those Achilles shoes but couldn't quite swallow the price.

They were $250 or so when I was there.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
