I guess you all could be right but to me it seems like a black guy would have a better shot at pulling these shoes off than a white guy. I still see how why could have meant that but I'm not going to comment any further as it's too late in the evening anyways.

I like them. But the sneaker variety acceptance on this site is paltry at best.

Maybe you should link some chucks, they always go over well. You could probably even get away with a Hello Kitty print on chucks 'round here.

I am not trying to force everyone on SF to like these shoes. But there is no need for your dumbass racist question.

alright. lets be realistic. You bought the sneakers because of the name. Nothing wrong with that, fine.

Now, the aesthetics of the sneaker are terrible. The gaudy color branding(not to mention GUCCI on the strap) and the... uniqueness(in a bad way), make this thing look terrible. If you want to spend $ on sneakers, there are so many better ways to do it.

here are my current picks(which many on this forum might not agree with):

With all of them, you can still have the pleasure of telling whoever asks that they cost over $300, since that's probably what you're after anyway.

that said, if you feel it was a worthwhile purchase, more power to you.

I noticed that. I do have several pairs of Jack Purcells low tops. I like variety in my shoe collection.

The gucci symbol on the strap is barely noticeable. Actually the price was more appealing then the name.
I actually just ordered a pair of CP dark grey low tops from southwillard.

You asked for comments and got one. It's somewhat naive to pretend that loud, gaudy name-brand sportswear isn't stereotypically appreciated by black dudes. D.L. Hughley, Teddy Bear, and the Stacy Adams brand can be thanked for that, not xchen. It was hardly a racist comment.

...and those sneakers are straight up terrible.

It's stupid to ask that. First of all, just to imply that I must be black in order to buy those shoes is racism. I am neither black nor white.

So because a stereotype exists that makes it okay? That's kinda like saying if someone made a post about how to clean a fried chicken stain from his jeans it'd be acceptable to assume dude was black :p

That said, I'm black and I wasn't offended. In fact, I made some similar assumptions about that one guy that showed up a few months ago with a collection of crazy ass shoes and suits.
