Comments on Brooks Brothers "Extra Slim Fit" dress shirts?

I wanted to hear some comments, opinions, suggestions on Brooks Brothers "Extra Slim Fit" dress shirts before venturing out to their one and only store in Downtown, Toronto next week. How do the "Extra Slim Fit" dress shirts compare to slim fit European brands such as Zara or H&M? Cause I've tried various "Slim Fit" shirts at Banana Republic, GAP, Tommy, etc. (all American brands) and they were STILL BAGGY. Will I experience the same predicament with BB? Surely the "Extra Slim Fit" will fit even slimmer than conventional slim fits at BR, GAP, etc.?

From my experience, decent fit, but still with some extra cloth around the waist for the BB ESF dress shirts. I have no experience with H&M or Zara dress shirts. I have owned several Zara sportshirts in the past and would say a BB ESF 15/33 is slightly bigger in chest, but much bigger in waist than the Zara. One nice thing about BB ESF is that they have high armholes.

The BB ESF sportshirts are a different story and are slim through the waist, which are some of the only OTR shirts I have found that fit me well. You might want to try some of these if you can get away with slightly more casual shirts.

To give you an idea of fit, I'm 38 chest, 28 waist, mostly a swimmer/runner but lift occasional weights.

they are baggy to me. granted my neck is somewhere between a 16 and a 16 1/2 and i have relatively broad shoulders, a 15 or 15 1/2 would fit better but then I could not button the collar. just my $ 0.02

I am 6'0, 40R, 32" waist. I usually wear 15/34s.

I am 6'2" 180 pounds and like BB ESF shirts (I wear a large in the sport shirt). My impression is that it is slim fitting without feeling slim fitting. This is how I prefer to wear my clothing, slim but not tight.

They can be compared as loose to other brands. I prefer comfort and functionality with as slim a fit as possible (my work requires a certain degree of unpredictable physical contact). Brooks Brothers ESF does well in this environment. On another note, I like the fit of their milano chinos too, but that is another subject.

Approximately the same measurements and I go for a large in 95% of brands. I agree with this statement and find them to have a very nice classic American fit that looks trim but not painted on.

They're pretty slim fitting to me, but it looks like the general consensus thinks they are not slim enough, but then again I've been called stocky too.

I'm 5'5" and around 145lbs, 38S, and 30 waist and wear a 15-33 in Brooks Brothers shirts. I would say that they are a little slimmer than Calvin Klein's Steel line in slim fit.

I've purchased a regular H&M shirt, don't recall, if it was slim fit or not and feel that the BB ESF shirt is probably looser, but then again I bought the H&M shirt in small. I ended up returning the H&M shirt because my girlfriend though it was too slim.

This pretty much sums it perfectly and accurately, since my chest/waist measurements are the same.
