The jacket looks like a classic and could be posted for immediate sale in the RLPL section of polo.com. The shirt and tie are a bit much. They look like they've been borrowed from Prince Michael of Kent.

I'm not a huge blue blazer fan, but that one looks very nice. Personally, I'd like slightly narrower lapels and less shiny buttons (and the shirt and tie look unpleasant), but otherwise it's a nice look blazer. When he's standing straight, you can see the fit is pretty good too.

The look is fine, but dated. As already mentioned, the width of the lapels and the tie (not to mention Michael Caine's hair and countenance) both date this shot as being from the late 70's-early 80's. I personally don't like to "domed" buttons, and would prefer a flat or monogrammed surface; but thats personal preference. I also probably wouldn't mix navy and light blue (its kind of like mixing red and pink or purple and lavendar -- its just too forced a combination to work).

I agree with the above about the lapels. I don't mind the shirt so much as just that humongous tie knot. Domed brass buttons are okay with me... anchor ones look a little more authentic though.

Fits well, of course. Shoulder is extended but not heavily structured. Nice.

Widths are too large for current tastes.

Get Carter was released in 1971.

I actually like wide lapels on DB jackets, as I think they are necessary to give DB jackets their character. The tie knot is making the picture look a little dated, more than the lapels, in my opinion.

I like nice sized lapels on everything. The skinny ones are really starting to wear on me.
