With my impending graduation a collegue of my Dad's sent me this:

I thought it was great and something that needs to be said (especially when you are graduating and have no freakin' clue what to do with your life).

I was there last year. One of the better commencement speeches I have heard.

I wonder how many people follow this sort of advice when most of them are going into structured corporations although it does have a moral fitness about it.

The business casual ethos of the West Coast corps most head to certainly is a way to stay foolish.

I suppose, although the implication of Jobs's quote seems more in keeping with Francoise Sagan than Sun Microsystems.

She was a French novelist. She became famous and successful very early, with a first novel published when she was 18. She never stopped writing, and also never stopped loving drugs and fast cars. She died two years ago at 69.

Yeah, I liked that speech. Would've been cooler if he said something about stealing from Xerox, but oh well.
