Color tie with Navy Sweater, White Shirt, Charcoal Slacks?

White Dress Shirt
Solid Navy V Neck Merino Sweater
Charcoal Slacks
Black Shoes

What would you say the most classical tie for this attire would be? I usually wear a more muted pallette, so I was thinking just a grey tie to go with the slacks. Though since I'll be wearing this to present in a relaxed enviroment I thought perhaps a red tie would offer a good contrast and show a little more confidence in my attire

Any thoughts and suggestions on a specific hue or pattern for the tie as well? Pictures are always welcome along with description.

Thanks Mates!

I think of settling on a darker burgandy tie, not patterend.

That outfit isn't anything special so yeah, your options are pretty limitless.

If you want to wear a tie with silly cartoon characters on it that's up to you.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
