I am in desperate need of some stuff for fall/winter here in the mountain west. I am a college student, so I want some pretty casual stuff etc for going to class in. Anyone got any suggestions for some good places to get some clothes?

I like outdoorsy stuff and kind of semi-plain, conservative stuff. Stuff from American Apparel etc seem to fit me really weird (way to thin usually, even though I am skinny as heck), so those are out.

I am currently focusing on LL Bean, Lands' End, Patagonia and J. Crew (mainly the sale stuff). Are there any other brands that might have some decent stuff?

The obligatory North Face, complete w/ stash pocket for your green (at least if is MW=Colorado?).
For denimz, look at Lee Gold Label, Levis LVC, RRL, Nudie.
Polos: J Crew vintage fit (or whatever it is called), sized down 1. Fred Perry. Polo vintage fit if you can deal with the somewhat higher price/big polo on your chest.
T-shirts: J Crew plain tees sized down 1 (still a little looser than AA) for your colors, Hanes, size down 1 for plain
Sweatshirts - AA for plain sweats. They don't fit as tight as the tees, for some reason. AA plain grey zip-up hoodie is gold.

This should get you started for a moderate budget.

PS: Be careful with LL Bean and Lands' End stuffs. A lot of it fits like old-people clothes.

^ hey that's a pretty good list right there...btw I can attest to the quality of J Crew plain T's. I have T's from uniqlo, AA, and J crew and my J crew ones are by far my favorites in terms of fit and color.

May be out of your price range, but Freemans Sporting Club has some awesome stuff: http://www.freemanssportingclub.com/ Patagonia has cool stuff too. We have a Patagonia store here that has some great sales, maybe there's one in your area. Filson - another label that has great quality outdoor apparel and gear. Orvis. As redgrail mentioned with Bean and Land's End, these tend to fit rather large and you may want to get them taken in for a close, slimmer fit. Some others that I like are Gant, Henry Cottons, Napapijri, Ibex, Icebreaker and Fire+Ice. Seems as though we have similar tastes in casual wear. For denim, redgrail had some good suggestions. Might I add Corpus and Edwin as well.
