Basically as I've posted before in a couple of other threads, I'm a junior getting a BBA (management).
My last (only ) job was senior yr of highschool - freshmen yr of college in a political surveying agency (much like telemarketing, in the sense that is equally annoying). My 'rents prepaid a percentage of my credits and due to decent grades i get grants/scholarships which get me about 3.5-4k ( 1k during summer classes) every semester after book expenses. I try to stretch that out as long as i can between semesters.
However I feel like it is time to get a real job ,that ill be able to put in my application to grad, and also because sometimes when I run out of my school disbursements I feel like a 20 y/o (turning 21 in 2 months) shouldn't be asking his parents for money.

What would be the best places to apply to get good work experience for business grad? Does one really learn at places like banks, or are smaller firms better?

junior year is a crucial year imo. find whatever you can if possible.

my advice is probably terrible but i've been groomed to come to work at the company that i've been working at since my 2nd year of college (interned there and every summer thereafter).

trust me, if your parents help you out with expenses take it with a grateful heart. it'll cut down on your expenses later down in the road.

it all depends on what you want to do but try to get into the some sort of operations support role (ie. if it's a manufacturer or something try getting into their finance dept. or operations analyst).

I had to look up what a BBA is, and I have a B/S in business administration with a concentration in management. I'm a recent grad and I found a job doing accounting/administration stuff and it blows.

If your school does CO-OP education (school credit for work terms) they probably have an office. Go talk to them. I had great luck applying for co-op jobs and getting them, even though I wasn't a co-op student.
